Birmingham United Foundation - Our Work

Transforming Communities Through Accessible Sports and Enrichment Opportunities

our work

Birmingham United Foundation currently delivers across the entirety of inner-city Birmingham, positively impacting young people and the community around us. Through our various delivery arms, we are committed to ensuring as many people benefit from the power of sport as possible.

services

— Holiday Camps

We run holiday camps at various sites across the city, creating a fun and safe environment for young people to engage in sport and physical activity during the school holidays.

These camps are in Alum Rock, Hodge Hill, Acocks Green and Balsall Heath/Highgate

These are some of the testimonials from the young people that attended our recent camp on the benefits of having holiday provision.

— after school clubs

We are delivering in schools across inner-city Birmingham, offering much-needed sport and enrichment services and reducing anti-social behaviour after school hours.

We aim to support more schools and community settings through our football sessions ensuring that as many young people as possible can benefit from our work.

community sessions

We run door-step sessions across the city, helping us to reach our aim of ensuring no young person is unable to access a recreational football offer in inner-city Birmingham, and have a safe and fun environment in which to enjoy football

See our popular Football Fridays session, anyone from the age of 11 to 16 can come down, free of charge and play some football with their friends as well as make new ones along the way!

enrichment trips

We understand that so many young people are not able to experience the type of enrichment that will help raise their aspirations, fuel their ambitions and support them through more positive life outcomes and we believe unique enrichment trips are a key way of solving this issue.

We use our enrichment trips also as a reward for attendance, engagement and good behaviour across our various community projects, so that they know that we recognise the positive steps they are taking in their personal growth.
